Angel Flight East Charity Fly In at Wings Field

Angel Flight East is an organization that provides free rides by private pilots to patients in need of travel for medical care. They reached out to us and asked us to put the Velocity on display at their annual air and car show at Wings Field in Blue Bell, PA.

We agreed and headed out early to get parked before the show opened with Nancy, Garret and Kathryn. The weather was cool, but perfect with crystal blue skies. It looked like a great day for a show.

After landing, the flagmen direct us on and on, eventually ending up in a prime spot right at the entrance to the show.

Shortly after we arrived, other planes started streaming in.

Our friend Kerry Fritz came in with his Long EZ

Remember, this is a Wings and Wheels show. The cool thing is that they display the cars mixed among the planes. After the aircraft were parked, the classic cars were brought in and displayed among us. It looked great.

Of course, we also had a Batmobile.

The show opened and people flooded in. It was suddenly full. Everyone really enjoyed the airplanes and we had a lot of interest in the Velocity.

I was happy to see my old college friends, Ed and Caroline "Slasher" Wallo there. Caroline is one of the organizers and Ed is the front man of the band, The Fredos. They were great.

Toward the end of the show, we got permission to sneak out early with my friend Kerry to get some air to air shots on the way home. Here are some pictures.
