Major Motivation from the North
My old flying buddy, Scott Keighan, came down from Canada in his Lancair IV with his family this Sunday for a visit. He flew into Chester County airport near my home, we gave his wife my car, then flew over to Smoketown to check out my almost completed Velocity.

Hey Mark, you want to get some stick time?
Hmmmm, yes.

This thing is loads of fun to fly. Note that I wore my "colors".

Here we are at my hangar at Smoketown. Time to pull out my lime green Velocity for some shots with Scott's gorgeous Lancair.

Here they are, the future flight of two.

Believe it or not, this is the first time I've ever seen the windows uncovered since I bought the kit 3 1/2 years ago. I took the covering off today and it looks great - even more finished.

Here is a nice 3/4 view of both planes.

Here is the nose on view. Pretty cool.

One more shot.Lime color aside, this really looks great. Time to put them away and head home.

Headed back from Smoketown to Chester County Airport to meet the wife for lunch. About 6 minutes in the air. I actually got a half hour of stick time on the way over. This thing really flies great. 200 knots is no problem and you can fly it with your feet on the floor, which was a surprise. Scott had no problem getting it into and out of a 2400 foot strip.

Scott, Glema and Alex back at Chester County Airport after dinner. We look forward to flying with them on adventure vacations starting next year.

Buttoning up for takeoff. They will be home in Canada in only an hour and a half.

Off they go to Canada. Thanks for the visit and the motivation. We'll be headed North this Spring to try to beat your time.
