Taking Pop Pop to Martha's Vineyard

My wife's Dad has a girlfriend in Martha's Vineyard. He is getting sick and tired of the 7 hour plus to drive up there for visits. I have had a Velocity since 2000, but he has never gotten in it once...until I offered to take him up there from here in Philadelphia in less than an hour and a half.

A nice weekend came along last week and we told him this was it, to pack light. He showed up right on time.

Sean waited under the plane for my wife, Nancy, to arrive with Pop Pop (Terry). We had her all fueled up and ready to go.

At 9:00 we were wheels up and on our way.

He settled right in and had a good time checking out the sights.

The ride up was smooth and clear with gorgeous scenery as we cruised up the coastline. Here are a few pictures.

We drove up to the cliffs at Gay Head at the southern tip of the island for lunch. It was sunny, breezy, cool and stunningly beautiful. Worth the trip.

Sean has a pool party with friends at 4:00, so we head back to the airport for the trip home. I can't believe we can fit this all in one day.

We had a great trip. All the way to New England for lunch, then back by midafternoon. I love my Velocity.
