We planned to go to Ocean City for a quick visit with my wife's family, who were "Down the Shore" for the week. Her Dad had never even seen the plane. The weather forecast was for a perfect Saturday, then rain Sunday.
I went out to the airport at 9 a.m. to clean, fuel and load the plane with the family to arrive at 9:30 for takeoff. I got there to find the nose gear tire flat. I pumped it back up, but heard the loud hiss of a bad leak. I called home to say we were on hold.
I managed to get in touch with my A&P, who happened to be in his shop on a Saturday. He was just leaving, but left a new tube outside the door of his shop for me. I drove over, picked it up, removed the nose gear and installed the new tire. By noon, we were ready for takeoff.
Since we have already shown pictures of several previous trips here, I concentrated on getting some videos of this trip.
Above is a quick video of the takeoff.

Here is our takeoff from Ocean City. We decide to turn out to the East and do a pass down the beach before heading home.

We fly north down the beach and see the family waving on the beach. We then turn west and head home.

As we taxi in, we pass a couple of nice warbirds on the ramp. It was a nice, quick visit to the beach. It is a 2 hour plus drive each way, but we flew down in 25 minutes, stayed for 2 1/2 hours and flew back in a half day with no traffic or parking issues.
Next week we are headed to New England if the weather cooperates.
