The Velocity XL is our second Velocity.Construction took 3 years and 11 months. The hours are flown off and we are starting to take trips and have fun with it. I flew into the Oshkosh airshow and flew the family on our first long trip to the Bahamas. We plan to take trips to the Outer Banks, New England, Florida and, of course to Airventure over the course of the coming year. Our Velocity friends are finishing off several other Velocity XL's and we look forward to group trips. I started this blog years ago to document the building process and to share my progress with friends and other builders. I still have things to tweak, adjust and refine over the next few months, but this will soon become more of an adventure/travel site to share our adventures and trips in the new plane. Those following the blog have likely already noticed the shift from the technical to trips, experiences and airplane friends.I hope those who have followed my build will also appreciate seeing what you can do with a Velocity. I want to say thanks to everyone who helped me out with the building process, especially my wife. Stay tuned for more travel stories in the next few months.
