Early takeoff for Pottstown on Runway 11 |
I have been remiss about keeping up with the blog. We have done a lot of flying and had some great adventures, but I've been too busy to post. Here come updates on some of the flying we've done in the end of the summer and the Fall.
After the Wings fly in, Garret and I flew over to Pottstown for one of the breakfasts held by the local pilot's association. They always have a great breakfast and a nice crowd. The girls had just spent all day on the tarmac at the Wings event, so they didn't want to get up early for this one.

They missed out, because the conditions were beautiful. Here are some shots of the flight there.

Turning crosswind to enter the pattern - very windy. |
And we're down. Garret gives a thumbs up with one of the organizers, John Green.

We grab breakfast. It is very cold and windy.

Here are some views from around the field.

As always, the Velocity got a lot of interest. We answered tons of questions about the plane.

After breakfast and wandering around a bit, we take off and do a low pass.

On the way home, I circle over the neighborhood. I get a nice shot of the house. Nancy hears us and gets pictures of the plane overhead at the same time.

Our house is to the left of the pool. That's Nancy in the street at the top of the driveway. |
Another fun day. Next up, the Rough River Kentucky fly in.
