The show had to be postponed one week due to the hurricane. We ended up with great weather and good crowds for the show yesterday. I got to fly the plane twice during the show, doing high speed low passes and pull ups for the crowd. Also flying were other aircraft including a Mustang, Long EZ, Grasshopper,, RV's and more.

Here are some shots of the crowd in the morning.

There were crowds around the plane all day. I stood there for 6 hours answering questions about it. I had over 100 kids sit in the plane. The thing is covered with sticky fingerprints, but they loved it.

One of my favorite moments was when two of my neighbor's little girls, Anna and Makenna, got so excited that they started "flying" around the plane.

My friends from the neighborhood came out to see the plane and the show. Many of them have already been up in the plane. Some are still working up to it.
It was great to see them there.

After a briefing with the Air Boss, we pull the plane onto the flight line. I am going to be doing circuits with my friend, Mike Bem's Long EZ.

This one cracks me up. Check out who's right behind me headed into Philly.

We killed our first bird with the plane. This is all that was left. Luckily, this is a highly reinforced area at the leading edge of the strake and there was no damage.
Two feet to the left and he would have been right in my face. Yeck.

It was a good time. Lots of folks and their kids got an appreciation for the airport and general aviation. I am tired and sunburned, but look forward to doing it again.
